National Lab companies are offering medical trials and Coronavirus antibody tests as a part of their return to work protocols. But doctors are warning that these tests should not be the only determining factor on when to return to the office. Another one of the most important factors is the mental state of the concerned people as many individuals are currently going through depression.
Dr. Susan Bailey, President of the American Medical Association, says there is not a perfect antibody test out there right now to determine an individual’s immunity to COVID-19. The tests are getting better. The researchers have come a long way in the last few months, but they are certainly not ready to do anything like give someone an immunity certificate or anything like that. Quest Diagnostics and LabCorp are two companies offering to test to employers.
Coronavirus Antibody tests are not going to be the only determinant
Most of these tests are based on seroprevalence which usually tests the presence of antibodies on your blood plasma. However, many of these cases are not entirely accurate and it also includes many cases of false positives. Also, there is no proof that antibodies will keep you safe from Coronavirus.
Hopkins University released an official document that shows how you need to keep yourself healthy in order to maintain good hygiene and have a strong immune system. Antibody testing is going to be available for all of us in a few months, therefore stay safe at home.
Also no matter what, do not return to work even if you test positive for Coronavirus antibody particles. Let us know what you have to say about this in the comments section below! Also, don’t forget to join us on our Telegram Channel for more such latest updates and discussions.
