Facebook is trying to bring back the feelings of nostalgia for all its users globally.
E.gg actually enables users to create a new feature called as canvases. Free-form mixed media collages/pages which lets you express anything from albums, novels, to films, and many more. This will help you create an about page for an app.
E.gg from Facebook helps create collages
This new feature will be very similar to the one previously present in sites like MySpace and Geocities, as per Jason Toff, a developer in the NPE team. The main question that arises is that do people really want such things in the modern world? This presentation tools looked to be great in the early 2000s, however, this was because it was new and fresh back then.

Modern technology has advanced significantly since then. But then again, maybe that’s just because its a reminder of my younger years, and maybe, younger audiences who are less familiar with such will warm to the retro appeal of the app. Right now, E.gg is in closed beta, but you can sign up to the waitlist here.
