Twitter is currently trying to release the Fleets feature testing phase in India. On proper launch, this feature will make all tweets disappear within 24 hours of posting. This means they will have no retweets, likes, or public comments. This is very much similar to the stories feature of Instagram, Snapchat, and the statuses of WhatsApp. The application is currently going through a testing phase in Italy and Brazil.
Fleets will be available as a feature in all the mobile apps of Android and iOS devices in upcoming days. The team is very excited to make India the third country in the world to get this feature. This testing phase in India will help the research team learn how the new feature changes the way Indians engage on Twitter.
We’re testing a way for you to think out loud without the Likes, Retweets, or replies, called Fleets! Best part? They disappear after 24 hours. pic.twitter.com/r14VWUoF6p

Twitter: The all-new Fleets will last only 24 hours
Just like your normal tweets, your Fleets will also be primarily text. However, they will have the option to embed videos, photos, and gifs. To create a new Fleet, tap your avatar on the top left of your profile to create a new Fleet, start typing or tap a media icon to add photo/s or video/s and tap ‘Fleet’ to post.
People can see who’s seen their Fleet by looking underneath a post. They can tap on someone’s avatar to see what the person has shared since they last were on Twitter. Alternatively, one can also find an account’s Fleets by looking on their profile page.
The company’s managing director, Manish Maheshwari, says it will be a great opportunity to test the consumer level in India. Let us know what you have to say about this in the comments below! Also, do not forget to join us on our Telegram Channel for more such latest updates and discussions.
