OnePlus just finished launching its new flagship phone online amidst the Coronavirus pandemic. Two new OnePlus 8 models are up for grabs in 2020. The two flagship models, OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, teased for a long time finally comes out today. Both of these models are super powerful in terms of both, display and performance.
The phones are all powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip, but one of the models is larger and comes with a powerful display unit. OnePlus 8 Pro comes with a 120-hertz display rate as compared to OnePlus 8’s 90-hertz.
This increased efficiency of OnePlus makes it a direct competitor with Samsung Galaxy S20. The phone sports a 6.8-inch Quantum HD+ display in its pro edition. But with big screen comes big refresh rates too. Yes, the 120-hertz refresh rate will make it a breathtaking experience for users while seeing movies or playing games. What’s new with OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro?
The company has recently added sensors in both rear and front ends. The phone comes with an AI that influences automatic brightness.
OnePlus is currently using a base camera of 48px and an ultra-wide lens of 48 megapixels along with a telephoto lens. It also sports a color filter camera. The specially of the phone lies in its ultra-wide lens which includes a 120-degree angle, and a 3X hybrid telephoto lens. The camera supports a zoom till 30X.
The new color filter of the camera helps enhance the image capture bright-field even in the night sky. The company also seems to be ahead in terms of night photography. It claims to beat iPhone 11 Pro in the same feature.
Even though the camera and display is the strong point, the phone does not lack performance. Because it is equipped with a powerful LPDDR5 RAM of 12GB. It allows storage up to 256GB by means of UFS3.0 technology. The phone supports Wi-Fi 6 and has an IP68 rating for Internet security.
The phone supports “Warp Charge” using a 30W charger that comes with it. This helps the phone score big in the area of fast charging. OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro has a battery of 4,510maH. In regular charging, the battery goes to 60% in 30 minutes.
OnePlus upgrades its stock android to OxygenOS Android compatibility. The company claims to have made 280 “new optimizations”.

OnePlus just launched today on the internet, and plans to be in the US markets by 29th April 2020. The OnePlus 8 is priced at $699 for 8GB RAM and 128GB internal memory version and $799 for 12GB RAM and 256GB internal memory option. The 8 Pro comes for $899 for 8GB RAM and 128GB internal memory version and $999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal memory version.
