Last year Oppo started launching a new series of smartphones named ‘Reno Ace‘. After 5 months of its release, a Chinese microblogging website Weibo has leaked what seems to be its successor. Popular leaker Digital Chat Station has leaked an alleged live image of ‘Reno Ace 2‘. Following the same, a picture showing the Reno Ace 2 transparent TPU case was also leaked.
Oppo has till now launched two flagship smartphones in the Reno series, namely Oppo Reno 10x Zoom and Oppo Reno Ace. According to the leaked image, the new model in the Reno series looks a lot similar to OnePlus7T.
As seen in the image, Reno Ace 2 has a volume rocker key on the left side while there are a USB Type-C port and a speaker grille at the bottom. The right side of the phone is not visible, but we expect the power button to be placed there.
It is the latest flagship smartphone, so it will probably come powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. We also expect the phone to have a higher screen refresh rate and support for the fast charge technology.
Oppo Reno Ace 2 seems to have a quad-camera setup, as opposed to the triple cameras on the OnePlus 7T. But they both have the same ‘Oreo’ design. There is one thing that makes the Oppo phone different from OnePlus in look and feel. It is the shiny glass back rather than the frosted matte panel.
Right now there is nothing else known about the phone, except for its camera sensors. Its primary camera sensor could be the 48 MP Sony IMX586.
