The President of the United States has been propagating about the anti-malarial game-changer for a long time. Apparently he thinks that Hydroxychloroquine is the drug that can help Coronavirus. But finally, the scientists put his thoughts to bed as thee use of the drug did not show any positive effect on the Coronavirus patients. The President declared the drug as a “game-changer” purely based on suggestions and no proper medical examinations. However, in the beginning, many scientists tried to defend the President. But the final research study makes it all clear.
The study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, reports that hydroxychloroquine can neither improve nor deteriorate the conditions of a Coronavirus patient. Though it may have shown some relief with respect to certain symptoms. But it was only temporary and the medicine also did not control the death risks. Dr. Neil Schluger, the lead researcher, says “We did not notice any association getting this medicine and reducing the chance of dying or incubation”. The patients who received the drug did not seem to do any better.
A new study finds no evidence of benefit from a malaria drug promoted by Trump as a treatment for coronavirus infection.

Hydroxychloroquine: Does it help?
Doctors in the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs also reported that hydroxychloroquine did not alter the state of any Coronavirus patient. So, it is likely to increase the risk of death. Because until now, no positive effects were seen.
The death rate also increased to almost 28% when mixed with standard treatment. However, in normal the death toll stood somewhere around 11%. This proves that conventional treatment by caring for each symptom is better than the antimalarial drug. In the entire process started by President Donald Trump, almost 32.3% of the patients ended up in ventilation or are dead.
To conclude the FDA has finally cautioned everyone to use the drug for treating Coronavirus. Let us know what you think about this situation in the comments below.
