Hackers are using various techniques to exploit the common people nowadays by running various kinds of scams. Even though most of these scams are bitcoin oriented people are still too gullible to fall into this trap.
The main reason behind this is the inclusion of big names like Elon Musk, Barrack Obama, Bill Gates, and other giant industries like Uber, and Apple, which makes people question reality. Most of these security thefts were due to the vulnerability present on twitter. Twitter hacked is a term you’ll often hear from celebrities and other important personalities because that is exactly how hackers work.

Twitter Hacked: Why these accounts were hacked?
All of these accounts belong to important people who have a very strong outreach with people. Therefore, their PR connections are very strong which makes them an easy target for hackers. Most of these hackers run a bitcoin scam in these accounts after gaining control.

The first hacking attack was on Elon Musk. Within hours of it, the accounts of Bill Gates and Obama were hacked. The hackers showed the address to a bitcoin wallet and asked people to donate 1 bitcoin there for which they will receive 2 bitcoins. Some people were gullible enough to take part in the scam. All their money went down the drain.

We also limited functionality for a much larger group of accounts, like all verified accounts (even those with no evidence of being compromised), while we continue to fully investigate this.

Twitter Support started working on this immediately and the accounts were restored in a few hours. People need to be more aware nowadays and not entertain any such scams.
