Current research shows a strong link between Vitamin D deficient individuals, Coronavirus, and mortality rates. The study conducted by researchers from Northwestern University shows a different approach to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the effect of sunlight on Coronavirus is not a new theory. The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, said so in a press conference. In the interview, most of the statements were foolish, except for maybe this one.
The study takes into consideration different factors like healthcare quality, age, testing rates, and even the several strains of the Coronavirus. But none of these factors were able to provide satisfactory results. There are disparities in the result with respect to these factors in the entire test set. Even though these conditions provide a result for a single age group, it does not work well for the whole. However, there is a significant correlation between Vitamin D deficiency and death rates.

Vitamin D: Relation with mortality rates of COVID-19
The reason behind the relation of Sunlight vitamin and COVID-19 are cytokine storms- a hyperinflammatory reaction caused mainly due to an overactive immune system. Cytokine storms damage respiratory tracts severely and are the cause of death in many patients. Cytokine storms are the result of a deficiency of Vitamin D in the human body. This is the main reason why many patients are dying off respiratory tract failure and not the virus itself.
Vitamin D helps to enhance the immunity power in our body, hence it is very important to maintain healthy levels of the same in our bodies. Having a healthy amount of exposure to sunlight daily can help you avoid death from COVID-19. Maintain a healthy intake of green leafy vegetables in your diet. If you follow these simple steps, you’ll be safe from the wrath of Coronavirus.
